Coach Ladan Bosso of El-Kanemi Warriors Football
Club of Maiduguri says he is optimistic his team will beat Katsina United FC on
Wednesday in their week 4 fixture. Bosso stated this on Tuesday in Enugu that
he was confident of victory against Katsina United after their outing against
Rangers International FC.
The Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) Match Day 4 fixture between El-Kanemi and Katsina United is scheduled for Maiduguri on Wednesday by 4 p.m. “With the level of commitment my players have displayed and the resilience they have shown, I am confident that we will win,’’ Bosso said.
“For my team to face Rangers on Sunday after a long travel on Friday to Enugu and still nearly hold the league champions to a goalless draw shows the calibre of players El-Kanemi Warriors parade. “We won our last match on Thursday, before travelling to Enugu for the Rangers encounter. “We were tired, due to the long travel on Friday, and had just one day rest as an interval to the Rangers match.
“However,
we held Rangers for about 70 minutes and we played so well and better
tactically to the admiration of the Rangers’ fans. “We narrowly lost by one
goal to Rangers, due to lack of concentration at the defence. “So, it is clear
today that my boys have vowed to be resilient and are determined to achieve a
remarkable feat this season. “With this spirit and inspiration, we will not
fail to beat every other team,’’ he said. Bosso said he had completely
rebranded the team and injected energy, zeal and determination into his
players.
